Keeping the current scenario in mind the Director of the video  Rajesh Sonawane has  beautifully conveyed what each and every women is demanding i.e. freedom to move freely and safely.

Write up on the song

Aazadi: An Independence Pending

In a country that is oblivious to its women, where rights are namesake and freedom, a forfeited promise. The song, a rendition of the iconic ‘Apni Aazadi’ song, enunciates the need for change.

Right to gender equality, but not the freedom to walk unharmed.

Right to life and liberty, but not the freedom to live untainted.

Right against exploitation, but not the freedom to receive justice.

Right to freedom of conscience, but not the freedom to express it.

Right to constitutional remedies, but not the freedom to implement it.

Right to preserve dignity, but not the freedom to sustain it.

A country of meaningless freedom, futile constitutional rights.

No country for women?

In purview of the recent events that have caught the attention of our country with regards to women’s rights and safety, For Young India, in collaboration with Saregama has forged a steadfast pledge to reinstate freedom in every woman’s existence. With a lot of dreams in his pocket Alok Nath had landed in Mumbai to become a film actor. But who knew he would be one the best artists of the theatre acts. It was in 1987 when the young Alok Nath was offered the role of Master Haveli Ram by Ramesh Sippy for his television serialBuniyaad. The character of Master Haveli Ram was of a shy guy with strong thoughts and it was Alok Nath who gave life to this character. Recollecting the days while shooting for Buniyaad Alok Nath says, “During Buniyaad we were young students and were lucky to have a director like Mr. Sippy. He taught us like parents teach their children. Along with Mr. Sippy we were all dependant on the script which is our Geeta, Quran and Bible. Every actor plays the best role for to be praised. Along with true human relationships Buniyaad is a serial with lot of pain and emotions which even today is rarely found. And only Mr. Sippy would have made such a serial with a rare combination like this.”

“Sher kabhi muh nahi dhote”, says Randeep Hood

“Sher kabhi muh nahi dhote”, says Randeep Hooda

It is not only B-Town actress but also the actors who really care about their make-up, skin and hair on screen. And to maintain their on screen beauty almost every actor makes use of the expensive cosmetic products available in the market. But Randeep Hooda is one of those actors who like to be seen the same on-screen as well off-screen. He carries a rusty tough guy look and has managed to win the hearts of many girls with it.

Randeep recollects his mother once telling him a phrase when he was a kid, ’Sher kabhi muh nahi dhote’, to which Randeep says, “ I have taken that so seriously that even after I became an actor I follow that phrase. I would rather think of making my performance beautiful instead of my face.”

While all the actors have got into the race to become fair and beautiful like actresses, we have a man amongst us.

This August India witnesses the premier of the striking supernatural series- “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”

Image

Hollywood premier marks the entry of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in India on 30th August 2013.

It’s time for the next supernatural series to hit the silver screen. The Hollywood movie “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” is awaiting its release in theatres across India on 30th August 2013. The film is based on the first book of the famous “The Mortal Instruments” series by Cassandra Clare. The series has successfully sold 16 million books and has been on the bestseller list for almost two years.

Directed by HaraldZwart, starring youngsters Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan, the film is a power packed combination of action adventure fantasy.

In “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,” a seemingly ordinary teenage girl, Clary Fray, finds out truths about her past and bloodline on her quest to get her mother back, that changes her entire life. The film has received some great accomplishments for its intense sequences of fantasy, violence and action, and has a run-time of 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Is The Mortal Instruments series the new Twilight?

Ever since the success of the earlier Hollywood supernatural series, it seems as if movies of such genres have managed to seize teen attention easily. And now it’s time for the Mortal Instrument fever to touch the teen lives with its latest breathtaking fantasy series. With ‘Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ hitting the theatres this August end, the second in the series, ‘Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes’ is already in the making.

Inspired with the famous bestseller ‘Mortal Instruments’, the $60 million movie ‘Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ marks its entry into Hollywood with its first instalment of the six book series. The story revolves around a teenager Clary Fray’s search for her missing mother, which leads her to a city filled with mysterious fairies, raucous warlocks, vampires and other demons.

The film casts the three hot young stars- Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower & Robert Sheehan, who have already managed to pull a ten million fan following both offline and on social sites. With the film starting to cast its spell on its audience, it really makes us wonder- Is ‘The Mortal Instruments’ the next ‘Twilight’?

Author Cassandra Clare’s ‘Mortal Instruments’ series to debut on the silver screen

The International Bestseller has successfully sold Sixteen Million copies in 35 languages.

From printed page to big screen, it’s been a journey for author Cassandra Clare and her “Mortal Instruments” series. For her, the making of the movie seemed like a dream. Every action in the film is based on her book and it has all gone through a long process. Clare herself hails from a family which is into movie-making. Her grandfather was a movie producer. She has grown up in the film industry.

Movie-making is a time taking task and requires patience but it was certainly not unexpected for Clare who has movie-making in her blood. The book was well modified into the film with the director keeping an eye on every detail, focussing on the characters and their relationships to the special effects involved in the fantasy sequence.

It is a very touching moment for an author to see her romantic-supernatural fantasy series being adapted into a Hollywood flick. And hence, Clare wasn’t just an observer on sets. Like many authors before her, she has made a cameo in the movie which is based on her best-selling series.

“The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones,” co-starring Jamie Campbell Bower, Lily Collins and Robert Sheehan, opens August 30.

Neetu’s proud moment

Neetu’s proud moment

We’ve heard a lot of actors helping their staff with expensive gifts, financial aid and free guest appearances. Recently actress Neetu Chandra helped her maid’s daughter get married. Her maid was to call off the wedding due to financial problems which bothered Neetu and she helped her not only with money but also with home appliances. “I’d asked my maid about the preparations, and she told me that it may not happen because she was facing financial problems”, says Neetu. She gifted whatever was required to start a married life. My mother was proud of me, and I too felt nice doing it”, adds Neetu.
