Actor Neeraj Kabi, who plays the character of Ramesh Tandon — based on Aarushi’s father Rajesh Talwar — had an emotionally draining part to play and was disturbed during the entire shoot of the film.

To get under the skin of his character, Neeraj researched the case in depth and read practically everything that was recorded on it.
As he learnt more about what happened on that fateful night and the different versions that came out during investigation, he fathomed the shock and turmoil of a father who is trapped in such a situation. While shooting, the actor would often be in tears.
