Raveena Tandon is one Bollywood’s favorite leading ladies. She has donned many avatars on screen and has been loved in all of them. But it’s her off screen persona that people are drawn to and love the most. Raveena is known for being a sporty and spirited person with an abundance of positive energy. When she stepped into world of motherhood, she brought the same spirit to her parenting skills and was soon seen as an ideal loving and balanced parent. It is in the light of these qualities that the whole team of Chhota Bheem chose her for the title of ‘Mighty Mom’ this year. The actress was given the award by Chhota Bheem, Rajiv Chilaka and Samir Jain.
Raveena is seen as a wholesome parent for many reasons. At the age of 21, when she was at the peak of her acting career she adopted two girls Chhaya and Pooja, a commitment not many young actresses would dare to take up. Raveena has two more kids with her husband, a boy Ranbir and elder sister Rasha. The actress was very humbled by this honour.
Raveena was quite excited about the special screening of the Upcoming Chhota Bheem film ‘Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure‘ and attended it with the kids from her family and close circle. She really liked the film and as was quite into the film as she was familiar with the characters.
Talking about motherhood and Chhota Bheem, Raveena said, “I enjoyed the film and I knew the characters as so many kids from my family are die hard fans. Chhota Bheem is adorable and he is as big as any superstar. I’m really excited to receive Mighty Mom award from Bheem himself. This will be a first for me. I’m also looking forward to watching the film with kids, such a fun way to start the new year. I think there is a serious dearth of original content for children in India. I hope this year we get to focus on children’s films. Let’s take Chhota Bheem as example – it’s got Indian values and simple story lines above all you can be relaxed with what your child is consuming without fretting”.
Rajiv Chilaka, The creator of Chhota Bheem is equally thrilled about the award going to Raveena this year, he said, “Our philosophy with Chhota Bheem is to connect with the parents and children. That is why motherhood is so important to us. On my interactions with parents, especially mothers, they all say that the best thing about Chhota Bheem is that it does not promote any negative ideas and is very connected with our culture and value set. It is this faith that parents have shown in our character that has helped us grow to this extent.”
The award was presented to one another than Kajol last year and Raveena will be taking the legacy of Mighty Mom award forward.
Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure will be hitting theaters across India on 8th January, 2016. The film will be releasing in over 500 screens, one of the widest releases ever received by an Indian animated film. Chhota Bheem and his friends from Dholakpur will be seen going in a grand adventure to the Himalayas.
