Krystal Ellsworth plays the lead in Heartbeats

~A cross-cultural dance romance written & directed by Duane Adler who is known for writing the Step Up Franchise~


Mumbai, 24th January, 2016: “Heartbeats” is a dance romance movie which is based on a story of two worlds colliding. Hollywood meets Bollywood in this film directed by Duane Adler, who is famed for creating the Step Up Franchise, also wrote the bi-racial romance filmSaved the Last Dance for Paramount, which is in the Top 5 highest grossing dance films of all time in the box office and has also directed the film Make Your Move.  The film is produced bySriram Das, Andrea Chung Karine Martin.


Amitash Pradhan known for his role in Velaiyilla Pattathari (VIP) and professional dancerKrystal Ellsworth known for her dance work in Iron Man 2 and Fame will play the lead.Salman Yussuf Khan known for his acting in ABCD will be playing the rival.


Ravi Varman who has won a lot of accolades for Barfi! and recently shot Tamasha is the cinematographer of the film. Emmy Award Winner Tessandra Chavez is the supervising choreographer and will be choreographing the American choreography of the film whileShampa Gopikrishna who recently worked on Bajirao Mastani.


The other cast also includes, Paul McGillion (Tomorrowland, Star Trek), Justin Chon(Twilight/Breaking Dawn Franchise and 21 & Over), Daphne Zuniga from the series “One Tree Hill” and American TV personality Megan Alexander. The Indian cast include, Mohan Kapur, Vidya Malvade, Kishori Shahane, Prabal Panjabi & Aneesha Joshi.


Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Oscar nominated composer Gingger Shankar are creating songs for the soundtrack.


Heartbeats will release in the Spring of 2017.


About Heartbeats:

Heartbeats is one of the few films where Hollywood meets Bollywood. It is about an American dancer who travels to India for a week long wedding and falls in love with an Indian man who teaches her a new style of dance which helps her later on when she returns to the States.  The movie will emerge dance and romance with the beauty of Indian culture, people, customs, history and scenery.
