Dangal review by ANIZ FILMVALA ****

Directed by :Nitesh Tiwari

Cast :

Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat

Sakshi Tanwar as Daya Shobha Kaur

Fatima Sana Shaikh as Geeta Phogat.

Zaira Wasim as young Geeta

Sanya Malhotra as Babita Kumari.

Director Nitesh Tiwari’s biographical sports drama ‘Dangal’ is certainly an work of chef-d’oeuvre [Master craft] conscientiously written and visually arresting the passions of an father’s decisive goal to see his daughters triumph over the male chauvinist social stigma which doesn’t permit female to cross the boundaries dominated by male wrestlers.

3 hour plus the film penetrates practically every phase of a heroic tale of Mahavir Singh Phogat struggle to scale his daughters for the path which was extremely impossible for a common man. Aamir Khan has no reason to convince us yet again, as whenever he is on mission of getting into the skin of the characters he’s playing he doesn’t disillusion the millions out waiting to witness a new in him.

Zaira Wasim as young Geeta Phogat steals your heart away as she embarks into a journey of her father’s enforces on an impossible challenge for her to migrate out of the feminine nest. Zaira gives her shining effort as she performs the young Geeta metamorphosis to a perfect wrestler beating up boys with a graceful remoteness giving her father proud moments as she perfects to a state level winner. Geeta Phogat will be mighty impressed to watch her significant childhood days to gain more métiers to get new Gold for India.

Crime Drama Thriller. What you put out into this world will always come back to you, but it never comes back how you predict. Taking fatherly advice is not in Joe Coughlin’s nature. Instead, the WWI vet is a self-proclaimed anti-establishment outlaw, despite being the son of the Boston Police Deputy Superintendent. Joe’s not all bad, though; in fact, he’s not really bad enough for the life he’s chosen. Unlike the gangsters he refuses to work for, he has a sense of justice and an open heart, and both work against him, leaving him vulnerable time and again—in business and in love. Driven by a need to right the wrongs committed against him and those close to him, Joe heads down a risky path that goes against his upbringing and his own moral code. Leaving the cold Boston winter behind, he and his reckless crew turn up the heat in Tampa. And while revenge may taste sweeter than the molasses that infuses every drop of illegal rum he runs, Joe will learn that it comes at a price.
