PVR Pictures & MVP Entertainment to release the most awaited sci-fi film ‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ in India

PVR Pictures & MVP Entertainment is all set to release one of the most anticipated sci-fi films ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ in India. The movie which is touted as the biggest movie in this genre, will have its trailer release in theatres this Friday, along with biggest action movie ‘Fast & The Furious 8’. It’s the most expensive French film ever made with a budget of $220 million.  The movie would have a parallel release on 21st July.

 

‘Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets’ is adapted from a popular French science fiction comic series ‘Varlerian and Laureline’. Directed by Luc Besson, the movie stars Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne as Valerian and Laureline respectively. Key cast also includes Clive Owen, Ethan Hawke, John Goodman, Kris Wu, Rutger Hauer and Sam Spruell along with pop sensation Rihanna, who is making her comeback with the movie.

 

In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are a team of special operatives charged with maintaining order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two embark on a mission to the astonishing city of Alpha—an ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence and cultures with each other.  There is a mystery at the center of Alpha, a dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.

 

‘Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ is releasing in July 21 2017 in theatres near you!
